Despite some innovative new shows this season and the semi-hit Heroes, NBC is still ranked 3rd or 4th in the rankings. But as Tina Fey put it, "there's hundreds of channels on TV, so 4th is still pretty good!"
In a sign that doesn't bode well for newcomer Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, NBC will be airing an episode of Friday Night Lights in its place tonight. Friday Night Lights, which is usually on Tuesday nights probably isn't faring much better. Shit, if I was interested in catching a show called Friday Night Lights, I'd be looking for it on Friday night, not Monday or Tuesday night.
NBC is hoping that by moving sitcoms Scrubs and 30 Rock to the Thursday nights in the 9-10pm block, they can regain their must see TV 2 hour comedy block starting in mid November. Yeah, the problem with that is that ABC and CBS have Grey's Anatomy and CSI on at that time which are currently the two top ranked shows out of ALL shows...so uhhhh I wouldn't count on Zach Braff and Tina Fey to be able to pull off anything higher than 3rd place in that slot.
