Today, after I got done fondling Vinnie in the backseat of his car, I decided it was finally time to come out of the closet. If there's one thing I learned today during my pillow talk with Vinnie, it's that it's not fair to my doctor friends, parents and patients for them to not really know who I am. And poor Wanda, she thinks we've been in love this whole time when I've really been harboring a deep burning pain in my loins for the ole Vinster.

Neil Patrick Harris, the actor who can currently be seen on How I Met Your Mother and is best known as playing Doogie Howser, M.D. released the following statement to People magazine yesterday:

"The public eye has always been kind to me, and until recently I have been able to live a pretty normal life. Now it seems there is speculation and interest in my private life and relationships. So, rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love."

So, once again a closeted celebrity has been forced to come out of the closet thanks to jerks like Perez Hilton and other unscrupulous folks in the media. Like it wasn't *fairly* obvious that Doogie was gay...but no one should feel forced to come out if they don't want to.

Actually, there's a very good reason why ACTORS don't come out. If an actor wants to get lead roles in film or tv, it's much harder for them to get such roles if they are openly gay because it's much more difficult for most people to believe in the fictional romance on the screen if you know they don't swing that way. Just the other night on Grey's Anatomy when recently outed McCuddly chased after McCurvy, I thought to myself "yeah right George! You know you want McDreamy too just like the rest of us".

Doogie plays a big-time ladie's man on his great show How I Met your Mother, and now...Asshole Hilton has probably ruined his character on that show for some people.

I think Perez needs to come clean about his major drug problems, his preference for being the "pitcher" or the the "catcher", why his daddy left him, and whether or not he had any sexual abuse as a child. That's what I think!
